The air of Andalusia
Inspired by Muslim rule and compass: the magic of Islamic geometric design / we observed and attempted to understand these patterns to project them onto our balloon.
The process was primarily in developing a simplified version of these existing logics that can be constructed as lines on a surface that would eventually become the shapes that we assembled for our balloon.
Our references,
We drew up two primary patterns both stemming from these references and from these two patterns we tested their appearance and the nesting files for each establishing which would work best under our time frames and the materials we wanted to use. Eventually we choose the organic pattern bellow that is altered for the shape of our final product.
